Half Truth

Designed by the unlikely powerhouse team of Ken Jennings, the record holder for the longest winning streak on Jeopardy!, and Richard Garfield, the creator of Magic: The Gathering, Half Truth is the trivia game that has you press your luck on how knowledgeable you are.

In Half Truth, players are presented a topic with six answers, half of them are true and half of them are false. All players will simultaneously choose one to three answers that they believe to be correct. Get one right answer and you’ll advance down the points track, each additional correct answer you get will earn you bonus points. However, select any one wrong answer among your choices, and you won’t earn any points that round!

I really enjoy Half Truth, it’s a trivia game that has modern game design built into it. The simultaneous answer selection from six possible answers keeps all players engaged and having fun, eliminating the long wait times between turns while one player racks their brains searching for an answer to a question they have no knowledge about. 500 trivia cards come with the game that cover a broad arrangement of interesting topics from “Jobs that US Presidents have had”, “Animals with blue tongues”, and “Names of Dungeons & Dragons modules.” And with its easy setup and gameplay, Half Truth is a game you can play at home, while on a road trip, or over video chat! And even though I am not a trivia expert, Half Truth is one game that makes me feel smart while playing.
