Exploding Kittens is a wonderfully done game that is excellent with friends. The art style compliments the party style humor and the gameplay provides a fun and competitive environment, which leads to a lot of great situations. The gameplay plays like a cross between Uno and poker. With such a simple concept, it is really easy to teach new players and can lead to some serious bluffing. This game also is ripe for expansion and offers some amazing expansion packs that make for a more chaotic gameplay experience. My friend group especially loves combining all of the expansions to make one monster game where literally anything can happen. People can be revived and climb back from what used to be a guaranteed loss. The only cons I would say about this game is that it really needs a lot of people to be excellent; the base game is great as is, but I would recommend additional friends for the perfect experience. The core game is great, but for experienced game-enthusiasts or card-gamers, it might seem too simple, and I would recommend grabbing an expansion or two to start. If you are experienced with card games, I would play a few games of the core game, then throw in an expansion to spice it up. Overall, Exploding Kittens is a great little game. It is Kickstarter-backed, and an honest to god great experience, 10/10!
